Statuses

Manage the Status of your various Work Items or Project Artifacts separately from their Stage.

Status is Not the Same as Stage

Too often Project Management systems treat Stages and Statuses as the same thing.  This is not true and Proceve allows you to differentiate them and utilize that difference correctly.

Proceve allows for 4 main types of Status:

  • Progress Related
  • Activity Related
  • Dependency Related
  • Other (i.e. Miscellaneous)

The Status is Independent of Stage

Status is often independent of the Stage a Work Item or Artifact is in.

Examples:

  • An Item can have a “To Do” Stage and a Dependency Status of Blocked
  • An Item can have an “In Progress” Stage and a Progress Status of “Behind Schedule”, an Activity Status of “Paused” and a Dependency Status of “Blocked” all at the same time
