Every Project or Program in Proceve is a special type of Artifact. It allows you to assign them a Name, Description, etc, but unlike other Artifacts, Projects and Programs also allow you to assign them a short, unique Code.
The Project/Program Code is then used to create a unique ID for every Artifact created within that Project or Program so that those Artifacts can be uniquely identified within the system and they are also immediately identifiable as originally belonging to the Project or Program.
Projects and Programs are treated as large complex Tasks within Proceve and thus inherit all of the same capabilities that are designed into managing any Artifact or Task.
Programs and Projects in Proceve are capable of being organized into complex hierarchical structures containing an unlimited number of Sub-Programs, Projects and any other Artifacts necessary to successfully execute and manage them.
Proceve allows you to define an unlimited number of Teams and Resources that are available for use within your Programs and Projects.
Each Program or Project has at least one Team that Users or External Resources can be assigned to.
Proceve was designed to allow you to create as many additional Teams as needed within each Project or Program or Assign Existing Teams that were created elsewhere.

Projects often need to contain a lot of data to describe how you want to operate them.
Proceve was designed to allow you define everything from your Methodology, to your Sprint configuration, WorkFlow, Categories, Groups, Artifact Types to be used in the Project and more, all as part of the Project Configuration.
You can also save this data in a Template for later use in other Projects, allowing better standardization and consistency across projects and making it easier to get new Projects up and running quickly.
To learn more about Configuring Projects
Proceve was designed to contain rich support for Project and Program Templates.
Projects can be created from scratch or by using a Template
Templates are capable of containing all of the configuration data needed for a Project or Program.
In addition, we recognize that Projects often need to have the same structure as past Projects, and may even include some of the same Artifacts. That’s why we designed our Templates to be capable of including a predefined set of Artifacts and Structure so you can rapidly get up to speed without wasting time repeating common Project Administrative Tasks just to get started.
Have you ever needed to monitor a set of Tasks or other Artifacts separately from how they are tracked within the main project? I know it happens to us all the time.
Proceve was designed to allow you define a special type of Project called a Tracking Project for this purpose.
Tracking Projects allow you to identify specific Artifacts that you want to monitor separatly for a particular purpose. For Example:
Once defined, any Artifact can be monitored within its primary Project or Program, but can also be optionally assigned to an unlimited number of Tracking Projects, depending on your particular needs, where their progress and other data can be managed more easily.
Projects and Programs typically go through a Lifecycle, which includes various Phases, such as Ideation, Planning, Budgeting, Execution and More.
Proceve was designed to allow you to define the Lifecycle that your Projects or Programs might go through and to Track each of them through that process while monitoring which Phase of the Lifecycle each Project or Program is at.
